“Pearl of the Ammerland” – this is how Bad Zwischenahn is rightly called.
If you want to see for yourself, you can cross the magnificent landscape with its moors and heaths, forests and meadows on foot or by bike. Or simply stroll through one of the parks with their mighty trees and relax in the mild feel-good climate far away from the hustle and bustle of the big city. The special microclimate, which is characterised by the lake and the forests, makes the air almost dust-free due to the almost constant winds and low in ozone even in summer. Therefore the summers here are a little cooler and the winters a little milder. In May and June countless flowering rhododendrons show a colourful spectacle, and the “Park of Gardens” is, depending on the season, varied and entertaining.
