The Origin

When a man and his wife have 6 daughters together, their husbands and 5 grandchildren, they need a lot of space if everyone wants to come for birthdays or Christmas. Since the old house had become much too small for such occasions, the idea arose to create a larger guesthouse. A house in which everyone feels at home and likes to come back again and again.

The builder

He wanted to build a house in which the guests would simply feel at home, and of course in his hometown of Bad Zwischenahn. With the help of his creative wife, the planning of Villa Mia began in August 2011. In March 2012, the frost came out of the ground and construction could finally begin. Everything went quite quickly and without any problems, so the topping-out ceremony could already be celebrated on 15 June 2012 and at the end of the year all apartments were furnished in beautiful, warm colours. All four apartments passed the big living test, which was carried out by the whole family on Christmas days, with very good results.

Wife of the builder

A previously hidden architectural design talent of the client led to the construction plans for the VILLA MIA. From the first construction drawing to the complete furnishing, she personally designed the house with a great deal of love and great care. With one of her daughters, who works as a furnishing consultant in Hamburg and the surrounding area and is just as creative as her mother, she created an outstanding team.
